“Avoid being impatient. Remember time brings roses.”

This weekend I had an obsession with making paper roses. So obsessed that I made over 20 of them. It was fun and I used up some scraps that I've had *FOREVER*. It's a bit time consuming because I had to cut my flowers by hand because I don't have a cricut or a punch yet, but it was still fun. It's been a while since I did anything like that. I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to end up doing with all of them, I was just making them to make them, they'll eventually go on a layout or something.

They turned out really pretty, once I have a cricut again I have several ideas rolling around for projects that will need a bunch of pretty roses.

These two are my favorites, zebra and hot pink imagine that lol. I do know these will be used real soon!

excuse the poor picture quality, I took them with my phone!

Here's the whole lot of them

"Ad hoc, had loc, and quid pro quo. So Little time, so much to know!"

I'm a huge Beatles Fan, and today when I was browsing the children's books at the library, I came across a real gem. There is a children's book based on the song and the 1968 movie "Yellow Submarine". Of course as soon as I saw it I knew I was bringing it home to read to the kids.

It's very interesting to say the least lol. There's a character named Mr. Boob...that of course got a few giggles from my 5 and 7 year old, ESPECIALLY when Paul calls him Mr. Booby lol. It wasn't until the middle of the book when I realized I was making a major faux pax when reading it to them...I wasn't reading in a British accent. So for the rest of book I was British. Okay, so I was really going between a Scottish and Australian accent, I'm no good at impressions!

I highly recommend it to any Beatles aficionado, it's cute and kitschy.

In my Next 30 years!

It is the eve of my 30th Birthday! I have about 15 minutes left in my 20's. I had a birthday party last night and it was so absolutely awesome. One of my very best friends in high school flew from Georgia to surprise me for my birthday. She FLEW across 3 states and rented a car just to spend a few hours with me for my birthday. There are no words to describe how that makes me feel, I can't believe anyone would do that for me. Another one of my best friends was supposed to come but she was unable to come due to an illness in the family, but just the fact that she was going to makes me want to cry. It was just a great night and it made me feel very loved and special.

I am excited about turning 30, I don't see why people get so upset about it. 30 is the perfect age if you ask me! Bring it on!

I think I’ll take a moment, celebrate my age
The ending of an era and the turning of a page
Now it’s time to focus in on where I go from here
Lord have mercy on my next thirty years

Hey my next thirty years I’m gonna have some fun
Try to forget about all the crazy things I’ve done
Maybe now I’ve conquered all my adolescent fears
And I’ll do it better in my next thirty years

My next thirty years I’m gonna settle all the scores
Cry a little less, laugh a little more
Find a world of happiness without the hate and fear
Figure out just what I’m doing here
In my next thirty years

Oh my next thirty years, I’m gonna watch my weight
Eat a few more salads and not stay up so late
Drink a little lemonade and not so many beers
Maybe I’ll remember my next thirty years

My next thirty years will be the best years of my life
Raise a little family and hang out with my wife
Spend precious moments with the ones that I hold dear
Make up for lost time here, in my next thirty years
In my next thirty years

Long time no see!

It's been a while! Had a lot going the last few months. Mostly my computer went kaput, but then the end of the year kind of got crazy.

The biggest change over the last few months is that we moved. We had a lot of drama to deal with, Judge Judy would have had a freakin' field day, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise. We LOVE our new house, it's really nice and everything has just really worked out great. Having to move was quite a blow to us though, the whole situation surrounding the move was just screwed up and ended up costing John a good friend. The moral to this story boys and girls is to ALWAYS get something in writing whenever you make a deal with someone regarding ANYTHING. We learned our lesson the hard way, from now on, if you so much as borrow a cup of sugar, have an IOU signed and notarized so it doesn't come back to bite you in the butt. I've just gotten to the point where I don't hardly trust anyone. But like I said, blessing in disguise and karma is a bitch, just sayin'!

Mostly just doing the same old things we normally do, kids, school, work and all that. Everybody is healthy and happy and life is pretty good. Ready for an awesome weekend, I have 3 days left in my 30's. I'm having a party tomorrow night, it was supposed to be a surprise but I've known for a while lol. I'm pretty excited about turning 30, I don't really understand why people get so upset about 30? 30 is the perfect age, you're not too old, not too young, your 30's are just right.

Have a fabulous weekend.
TTFN!
