Watercolor Nails

Hey y'all!  Today I have a cool design to share.  This actually started out as stamping but it was a total fail so instead of taking it off and doing something else I just used the same colors I stamped with and played with the "Watercolor" technique.  I think it came out quite nice.

I used all Klean Color polishes, White, Neon Yellow and Neon Orange.  These pics don't do the colors justice, they're really very bright IRL.  My camera just doesn't catch some colors very well at all, orange especially.  :(

Basically what the water color technique is, is polish and acetone.  I had my white base and some yellow and orange stamping done already.  I took some drops of yellow and dipped my paint brush into my acetone and then into the polish and dabbed it around each nail, it's not real thin, it almost looks sponged. Then I took the orange and did the same thing except I didn't put quite as much orange in it.  Then I cleaned my brush off and dipped it in just acetone, you don't need a lot, just mostly wetting it a bit with the acetone.  Then I just lightly dappled it around my nail to kind of mix it up a bit.  Easy peasy!

XOXO
