Amber's Halloween Extravaganza

Hey y'all! Are you in a Halloween mood yet?  I have been seeing some awesome Halloween nail art creations in the blogosphere lately.  I just love this time of year!  I love decorating my house, picking out costumes, dressing up, the whole nine Halloween yardage.

This weekend my husband and I were invited to a birthday party for my friend Stacy and it was a Halloween costume party.  I thought I'd share all of my costume stuff with y'all.  You normally only get to see my nails but today you're getting the whole kit and caboodle.  Make up, nails, jewelry, costume, and with permission, you even get to see my arm candy, Mr. Amber, AKA John. ;)

First and foremost, the nails.  I wore Wet & Wild Fantasy Makers "Purple Potion" with an accent Spider Web done with white acrylic paint.  I think this was perfect for my costume.  "Purple Potion" is an awesome Halloween polish, black base with lots of purple micro glitter. It's perfect alone but being me I knew I couldn't go without at least some nail art. (You can see my Spider Web Tutorial HERE.)

I went as a witch.  I made my costume out of some black fabric that I've had in a box forever and the corset was made out of what I'll call pleather lol.  It was left over fabric (or whatever you want to call it) from my husband redoing his truck doors.  I really have no idea what it's made of.  It had a leather look to it on the outside and a wool back side.  Like I said, no idea what it was but it served it's purpose.  I had some grommets that I used when I scrapbooked and I painted them silver with nail polish.  The white string is just yarn.  It was very randomly put together but I was really happy with how it turned out.  I felt sexy lol.

Next we have my witch make up.  I actually practiced several days before and had two different ways I liked but in the end I went with this one.  This look was achieved using  eyeshadows: Essence Starlight, LA Colors charcoal color from the Hipnotic pallet,  and a deep purple baked eyeshadow by Sally Girl.  The eye liner was Wet and Wild Black liquid liner and Rimmel Exaggerate waterproof liner in Black.  I also wore my first false lashes!!!!

This was my other option, I just used some random green shades from a Colorwork shop pallet that I got for Christmas a few years ago.  You know the ones that Wal-mart sells around Christmas time?

These were the lashes I picked up from Wal-Mart.  They were $2.97 in the Halloween section.  They came with adhesive and were pretty easy to apply for my first time.  They were a lot of fun to wear and added a great accent to my witchy eye makeup I think.

The necklace I wore was a $3 purchase from Wal-Mart (halloween section) and the owl ring is something I've had for a while and I just thought it would make a good witch accessory.

Altogether I spent about $10 for my whole costume.  Not bad, huh?

Oh, I can't forget my completely gratuitous photo.  Me and my honey!  He was a bad ass biker.  :)

I had a lot of fun coming up with my costume and getting dressed up, we had a great time at the party.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my Halloween costume stuff today. :)  XOXO
