I think I've been a little obsessed with tape mani's lately. I love doing them. This is China Glaze Aquadelic with Essie As Gold as it Gets and Nails Inc. The Donmar on top. The half diamond was done using Sally Hansen Golden-I.
I love the teal and gold combo. Here it is before I did the diamond.

MSMD: Patriotic Nails by Nailside
Since today is Memorial Day I thought I'd pick something patriotic to do. Nailside is one of my favorite bloggers, she is AMAZING at tape mani's so I picked her awesome 4th of July nails from last year to copy.
This is also my first time successfully doing the Explosion tape mani too and I LOVE IT!!!! You can see Nailside's Explosion Tutorial HERE.
Here's her's, she is the tape mani queen!!!!
Thanks for taking a look today. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. God Bless!

Color Club Magic Attraction
Hey ya'll. I have another stash swatch to share today. This one is Color Club Magic Attraction. Well, I am pretty sure it's Magic Attraction. I got this in a set from Ross and the set was a whole mish mash of polishes from different collections and none of them had labels. After some debate amongst some of my polish buddies and lots of googling, it was determined that this was Magic attraction.
I will go ahead and preface this by saying that these photos do NOT do this polish justice. In real life it is SO sparkly and glittery and holoy. Trust me, It. is. to.die.for.
This is two coats too, it has great coverage. It's really a beautiful polish.

NOTD: Wicked Style and Sticks n Stones
Hey y'all! Hope you're having a fine day. I'm still getting over the sickies so haven't felt much like painting my nails but I get bored easily so I did anyways lol.
I love this combo, oh what am I saying? I love anything combined with Sticks N Stones lol. This is China Glaze Wicked Style and Cover Band Sticks N Stones.
I really hope I can get a back up of Sticks N Stones soon because I want to use it all the time and I do not want to run out. Well, thanks for stopping by today. TTFN and XOXO.

Gradient Friday: Skittles Gradient
Hey y'all. I'm part of another group challenge and this time GRADIENTS. I can't get enough gradients right now, I love them. I did a skittles gradient, lots of different colors and gradiented (Is that a word? Spell check says no but I'm going with it anyway.) individually. I LOVE how it came out. I actually tried this a few weeks ago and screwed it all to hell by trying to stamp over it. I don't dare mess with perfection this time.
I used 15 polishes total for the gradients PLUS I added China Glaze Fairy Dust on top of each nail.
Blue: NYC Skin Tight Denim, Pure Ice French Kiss, China Glaze Electric Beat
Purple: Claire's Midnight, China Glaze Gothic Lolita, China Glaze Sweet Hook
Green: Sinful colors San Francisco, China Glaze Gaga for Green, Sinful Colors Innocent
Yellow: Wet N Wild Sunny Side Up, Klean Color Neon Yellow, China Glaze Lemon Fizz
Pink: China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic, Sinful Colors Pink Forever, Wet N Wild Flirty Rose Creme
This is by far my favorite and the easiest way to get the perfect gradient. You just add your colors on the sponge and stick it on your base polish, which should be the lightest color in your gradient. I move mine up and down the nail ever so slightly as I'm dabbing it to get it more combined and even. You just add more polish and do that over and over until you get it as bright as you want it. I also keep a sheet of paper on my work space in case I have too much polish on the sponge, I can just dab it on the paper.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today, hope you enjoyed it. Be sure to check out all of the other awesome gradient mani's below.

Gradient and Polka Dots
Today I am combining two of my favorite nail art techniques...Gradient and polka dots. For this mani I used Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow and China Glaze Make Some Noise.
First I put on two coats of Mellow Yellow and let it dry. Then I took a cut up make up sponge and did the gradient with Mellow yellow and Make Some Noise. Once I had it to where I liked it I did the dots with a medium size dotting tool. I remember seeing a mani like this before but I can't remember where I saw it but I loved it and I've just kept it in mind's filing cabinet to try sometime lol.
So, what do you think of these techniques combined, love it, hate it, so so? I myself, love it, the color combinations you could do this with are endless.

NOTD: Featuring Claire's Mystical
I am totally in love with this combo I have on today. It's a little dark but it's gorgeous. This is two coats of Claire's Mystical and Klean Colors Purple Metallic as underwear. This is a great combo. My hubby bought Mystical for me for Christmas and this was my first time wearing it. And I'm completely ashamed that it took me so long because it's so pretty.
I love this polish, I'm gonna have to wear it more!
Thanks for stopping by today TTFN and XOXO
Mystical is a slightly blue tinted polish with tiny purple and blue glitters. You could wear it alone but it really looks better with something under it.
arrrg, the claw

Nail Polish Survey
Nail Polish Survey
How many polishes do you have in your stash?
About 240
Which brand do you own the most of?
China Glaze
What colors do you own the most of?
I almost have a whole drawer of nothing but reds and pinks.
Do you have a color/texture you do not own?
I don't have any browns or tans, I have that on my list to fix soon though lol.
What's the one polish you always pick up to lift your spirits?
Orly Sweet Peacock. It's my very favorite that I own.
What polish do you keep looking at and wondering why you haven't gotten rid of it yet?
I have an old Sally Hansen pink polish that is just a bottle of goo because before I knew any better I put acetone in it to thin it out. I don't know why I don't just throw it away because it's not fixable lol.
Franken any? or I'm nervous to try it?
I have a few frankens that I made on a whim because I didn't have the color in my stash that I needed. You can see one of them in THIS POST. I call it "roll tide red". Nothing that special. I made it out of NYC Big apple red creme and a black polish with a little bit of purple.
Do you franken for new/original polish ideas or franken for polish you won't be able to own?
I don't really franken that often, but like I said above the ones I have made were just on a whim because I needed a different shade.
Go-to Base Coat?
Salon Sciences Instant Artificials
Go-to Top Coat?
Seche Vite.
What's your sexiest polish?
according to my husband it's anything neon pink. He likes China Glaze Pool Party.
Stamping vs Free Hand?
I love to do free hand nail art but I do stamp some. I am not very good at stamping really.
Bling me, baby? or No bling for me, please!
I have only done rhinestones a few times but I do love me some glitter.
I consider my nails basically nekkid if they don' t have some kind of design?
I have started to feel that way lately, I don't know why though. I need to have some kind of nail art on at least one accent finger to feel complete lol
My favorite plate/tool/technique.
My favorite plate is M64, my favorite tools are my paint brushes, and my favorite technique (right now) is gradient.
What I haven't tried and want to within the month?
I want to try a rainbow gradient with the black and clear water marble on top. I think that is so neat looking.
The one elusive polish you want and can't seem to get?
NVL Floam!!!!!
What was the last nail related thing you bought?
Pure Ice French Kiss
How many nail related hauls have you bought in the last 7 days (on-line/in-person)?
none in the last 7 days
If you've ever been on a no-buy, how long did it last? Is that what you planned?
It wasn't intentional but I didn't buy anything for about a month or so in February and into March.
(and one question to grow on) Hobby? Addiction? Compulsion? Passing Fancy? Love?
I'd say it's a hobby that I love. :)
Sylvester and Tweety nails
I tawt I taw a puddy tat. I DID, I DID! Today's nail art was a special request from one of my little chickens. She wanted the whole Looney Toons clan but I narrowed it down to Tweety and Sylvester. They're my favorite duo anyways and she loved it. :)
My base is China Glaze Electric Beat and the rest is acrylic paint, except his nose is NYC Big Apple Red Creme.
I also took some progression pics while I was working it. The pics themselves aren't great but you get the idea lol.

MSMD: Peacock feathers
I don't know about you but I have been loving the Peacock trend lately. It's everywhere, clothing, jewelry, home decor, and just the general color scheme is HUGE right now. I have been wanting to do peacock feather nails for a while so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to use a tutorial that I had pinned on pinterest a while back for Monkey See Monkey Do Monday! :)
I couldn't do a peacock mani without using my most favorite polish in the whole wide world, Orly Sweet Peacock. I also used Zoya Ivanka, Sally Hansen Golden-I, Klean Colors Metallic Purple and NYC Skin Tight Denim.
I used Ivanka as my base on my accent nails, then put Golden-I on the tip, then I took a small striper paint brush and Skin Tight Denim and did the feather outline. I took the same brush and Sweet peacock and did accents on the feather outline and a small design on the gold tip and added a small dot of Metallic purple on the tip. Skin Tight Denim is the polish on my pinky, middle and thumb.

Hearts and Stripes
Hey ya'll. Can you possibly stand to see Fuchsia Fanatic anymore this week? lol I have shown her off several times over the last week. I guess she's just been my go to color lately. I do that a lot, I'll wear a polish and end up using it a lot more than I even realize and don't notice until I start writing posts. lol
I also did another tape mani so you can tell what's been on my mine lately I guess. I really like this one, it's pretty cute.
I did using China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic and Klean Color White. I cut strips of scotch tape and laid them over the white and painted with the Fuchsia Fanatic on the striped nails and the heart accent was done freehand. I love tape mani's don't you? I do have a little bit of a hard time getting them put on straight and even but you get such crisp straight lines. SOOOO much easier than doing freehand stripes.

Water Decals~KKcenterHK Review
Hey y'all! Today I have another product review from KKcenterHK. This time they sent me a few sets of water decals to try.
This was my first time using water decals. These are by the brand ANE Nails (I'm still not sure that's not a B instead of an E, we'll go with E since its on the item number sticker in the corner) There is a little bit more to it than other decals I've used but I actually thought it was fun putting them on. It did take me a few tries to realize what you actually do to get them on good and adhered but once I looked at a few youtube tutorials it made total sense.
I couldn't get them to stick very well until I got a tip from a video to take a paper towel and use it to press it on your nail. It dried up the excess water and that seemed to really help keep it in place. Applying the clear top coat is VERY important. Doing that helps adhere the decal to your nail and it helps smooth it out too. The polish really molds it to your nail. I used Seche Vite as my top coat.

These are the directions on the back of the package.
This is called Cashew Pattern. It can be found HERE.
This is called Twisted Colorful and can be found HERE.
While the application was nice and fairly uncomplicated I wasn't very happy once I actually had them on. They are on a white backing in the package so they appear to be very opaque and bright but on the nail they are pretty dull in coloring and kind of transparent. Once they were on the nail you could see they look pixelated, it's just not a very crisp print. Using a white base coat may help the opaqueness but you really don't expect to have to use anything like that when using a full nail decal like these. Another bad thing about this is the wear time. The packaging says Up to 7 days wear but I barely got 24 hours out them. I lost several in my first shower after doing them, then a few were just barely hanging on by the time I got done. It's really unfortunate because they do have some really cute designs in their full nail decal line.
KkcenterHK has a bunch of other small nail decals that aren't full decals, including: Hello Kitty and Barbie, and TONS more designs. They also have a wide variety of polishes, stamping plates (which I have reviewed HERE and loved), striping tape, and other nail decor.
These products were sent to me in return for my review and honest opinion.

Tape Mani Featuring Pure Ice French Kiss
Howdy! So, this week I cleaned up my kid's room while they were at school. I went through their toys and clothes and got rid of a bunch of stuff and found a bunch of stuff that's been missing. lol I have been searching for my craft scissors for ages. I should have known they would be buried at the bottom of a toy box. I'm sure my crafty little daughter had something to do with it but she'll deny it for the rest of her life so why bother.
Anyhoo, I've been searching for these things because I have been dying to do a cool tape mani with them forever and I finally got to do it. The first time I saw this was on Chloe's Nails, she did a mani using some wavy pattern scissors and I thought it was really cool. You can check out her post HERE. BUT WAIT!!!! Don't leave before you check out MINE though lol.
This is really SO easy to do. You just cut your tape with your craft scissors and position the tape where you want it and VOILA. You can get all kinds of scissors that cut different patterns. I got these several years ago from Michaels but you can get them anywhere scrapbook and paper crafting supplies is sold. And they aren't very expensive, I think I paid a buck a piece for mine.
This mani was done using Pure Ice "French Kiss" and Wet and Wild Black Creme. I have already said this in another post but I LOVE French Kiss so much.
Well, thanks for stopping by today. Hope you enjoyed it. TTFN and XOXO

Fucshia Fanatic is Covered in Diamonds
Hey y'all! How about a little swatch from the vault on this B-U-T-FUL Friday afternoon?
This is China Glaze "Fuchsia Fanatic" with two coats of Color Club "Covered in Diamonds" on top. Is this gorgeous or what?
The one thing I don't like about flakes like this one is that are are kind of a pain in the butt to put on and they make your tips all rough. It's so pretty though I can overlook it. :)
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, do you have any big plans? We don't have any plans yet, we may just stay home and veg. We only have one more full week of regular school left so I'm sure we'll have a lot of busy summer stuff going on soon. I think we'll live if we just stay at home and relax. At least that's what I'm going to tell my kids if they say "we're bored" anytime this weekend. lol

Fun and bright french tips
Hey y'all! Hope your Thursday has treated you well so far :) I got to spend a little time with my Mom and my Aunt Tammy today while my little chickens were at school so that was nice.
I have been trying to stay ahead on my blog and have several days posts scheduled in advance but I've been a slacker. I do have a ton of pics waiting to be edited but like I said...slacker.. Or lazy, whatever you wanna call it ;)! Anyhoo....so instead of going through my stock pile I thought I'd just show you my nails for today. I had planned on stamping on them but that didn't happen, more of that slacker stuff going on. lol. I do actually like them just the way they are though so it's all good.
This is China Glaze "Fuchsia Fanatic" with Pure Ice "French Kiss". I am completely and totally in love with "French Kiss" right now, it's a gorgeous blue creme. It makes my heart sing a happy little tune. I really love the Pure Ice polishes, they dry fast and have a great formula and you can't beat $1.97 a bottle. I need to get more of them in my life.
Well, hope you enjoyed my mani of the day. I think I'm about to take it off and do something else with French Kiss. The name alone has me quite inspired ;). TTFN and XOXO!

Black on Black Crackle~Nail FAIL
Hello! I'm kind of going through a little bit of a slump the week or so. Not even colorful nails are doing the trick to bring me out of my funk. As much as I love my hobby, sometimes real life just gets to me. It happens!
Anyhoo, don't mean to bring everybody else down too. How about some nail talk? Oh, I have one more Debbie Downer....I'm back to nubbin's !@#$!#$%@#$% I had just gotten them all back to a decent length and I go and break one. FML!
I am still on the fence about my nails today. This was something I just thought of and did on a whim. Black on black crackle. I really don't know if I like it or not. I think it looks more like a really messy paint job that got messed up but some people might like it.
There is no top coat on this. The base is Wet and Wild Black Creme and the crackle is Sally Hansen Crackle "Ink Splatter".
So, what do you think about this crackle combo? Part of me thinks it's cool to see the shiny black through the cracks of the matte crackle but the other part of me can't wait to take it off lol. After wearing it a few hours the crackle seemed to get shiny and it just looked like a really screwed up paint job. Like I just took it and scratched it all up before it dried. Growdy to the max. I am going to go ahead and count this as a nail fail. 2 thumbs down! Ahh, they can't all be winners.
XOXO

Just another Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday!
Hey y'all! Today is Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday and I am copying from one of my favorite blogs, Rebecca Likes Nails. I am doing her Neon Leopard French nails that she posted back in March because they're awesome and hers look much better than mine lol.
I first painted my whole nail using Sally Hansen "Shell We dance?" and did a french tip with China Glaze "Recycled". The leopard print is done using Sinful Colors "24/7", "Why Not?", and "Innocent", and Ruby Kisses "Look At Me purple" and Wet and wild "Black Creme".
Be sure to check out all the blogs that are participating in this week's Monkey See, Monkey Do.

Splatterday!
Happy Splatterday! Me, along with a whole bunch of other ladies are doing another challenge, this time, SPLATTER MANI'S!!!!! The splatter is by far my most favorite technique. It's just so fun and you are guaranteed a unique mani every single time.
My base is Sinful Colors 24/7 and the splatter is China Glaze Shower Together and Claire's Midnight.
While I was working on mine, my daughter also did a splatter mani for herself too and she asked me if I would post it on my blog too. She's my biggest fan so I can't say no to her! :)
Be sure to check out all of the *AWESOME* Splatterday mani's below.

Zoya Gemma
Howdy! Today I have on Zoya Gemma. I have yet to try a Zoya polish I didn't like. I love the purple sheen this has to it, it's very subtle but so pretty.
This is Gemma with a Zoya Harmonie diamond french tip with a dot of Wet and Wild Black Creme. I wish it didn't have the dot, I don't like it lol.
Thanks for stopping by today! XOXO

Elemental Styles~King Neptunium
Hey y'all! I finally tried my other polish I got from Elemental Styles a while back, "King Neptunium". It's a really pretty shimmery teal with lots of teal glitter and small silver square glitter through out. With the name King Neptunium the nail art I added was really only natural ;).
Dun, dun, dun, duuuuunnn. I give you.....King Neptune of Bikini Bottom hee-hee.
I'll be honest, I'm not as in love with this one as I am with Actin-ium My Age but this is really a pretty polish.

NYX Frizz Spots
Hey y'all! Today I have an NYX polish to share. This is "Frizz Spots" over Wet and Wild Black Creme.
I love this polish, it's so pretty and holo'y. The polish itself is a very sheer black jelly and looks fantastic over a black creme.

Sticks and Stones Gradient
Hey y'all! I am SO excited to share this mani today. I ordered Sticks N Stones last weekend when Ninja Polish restocked and it came in Friday I was out of town for a mini Anniversary Vacation with my hubby over the weekend so I was super excited to come home to this little baby in my mail box. She is every bit as awesome in real life as she is in pics.
I am also seriously in love with this gradient too. I used China Glaze Sweet Hook, China Glaze Gothic Lolita, and Claire's Midnight.
XOXO
Yeap, Sticks N Stones is now in my top 10 Favorites.
