Chevron Nail Art Twinsies

Hey y'all!  Hope you're having a great week so far.  I'm just taking a little break from studying to share some really cute chevron nail art that I did for my best friend and me.  She found a picture on Pinterest that she really liked so I tweaked the design a bit and made it our's.

The first set is my BFF's, she wanted pink.  The pink Essie Off the Shoulder, the glitter is China Glaze Glistening Snow, and the chevron was done with OPI Alpine Snow and China Glaze Recycled.

The next ones are mine hand's.  The teal is China Glaze Aquadelic and everything else is the same as above.

I love this look.  Chevrons are one of my favorite nail art designs.  I also super love Glistening Snow, it's mesmerizing lol.

Thanks for stopping by today, XOXO.

Precision Nail Lacquer - Color FX Collection Swatches and Review

PR Sample

Hey y'all!  Today I have some really great new polishes to share with you.  This is the Precision Nail Lacquer Color FX Collection.

The Color FX collection is a beautiful rainbow of cream polishes.  They are so bright and vibrant.

Precision Pink With A Wink

Precision Wait a Melon For Me

Precision The Next "It" Girl

Precision Honey Dew This

Precision Surfin' In Maliblue

Precision Pur-Fect FX

I seriously love these polishes.  The formula is amazing.  They dry fast and all of my swatches are without a top coat.  Do you see that shine???  So, so, so shiny!

I have been wearing Pur-Fect FX for two days and I have zero chips and still has a perfect high shine like I just did them.  I have showered several times, done dishes a few times, and I swam today and it's still staying strong. The quality of these polishes is really impressive.

You can check out more Precision nail polish on their website.  They retail for $5.95.

The products in this post were sent for review in return for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Splatter and neon gradient

Hey y'all!  So, I have about a week and a half until I go take my state board exams and I can not seem to motivate myself to study at all.  I don't know what's going on with me but I sit down to study and my brain goes to everything but nails.  Well, no, I take that back, it goes to nails but just not what I need to be thinking about nails lol.

Let's take yesterday for instance.  I sat down to study and within 5 minutes I was doodling on my index cards and came up with some cool nail art designs.  I also couldn't stop thinking about doing splatter nails.  Which brings me to today's nail post.  I "studied" for about 5 minutes and got out my nail polish and sponges and did this neon gradient with white splatter.  Procrastination at it's finest lol.

This is Kleancolor Neon Yellow and China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy with OPI Alpine Snow splatter.  It's much more neony in real life.  I kind of love it!

I also cleaned up my nail desk area and decided to work on a new post about my work area.  I love posts like that so I hope my readers will too. :)

Thanks for stopping by and being a bad influence with me.  I have GOT to get my butt in gear and study, study, study for the next week.  XOXO

Tie Dye Accent Nails

Hey y'all!  Today I want to share a manicure I did last week using Chalkboard Nails Rodarte Tie Dye Tutorial. She always comes up with the most awesome designs.

I've always done the needle drag technique for my tie dye nails.  (You can see my needle drag tie dye tutorial HERE).  I love the look of this tie dye though, it's pretty awesome.

Nails Magazine Mini Masterpiece Contest Entry

Hey y'all!  I have something SO exciting to share with you today.  A few months ago Nails Magazine was having a nail art contest to replicate a well known painting on one nail.  I entered with one of my favorite Blue Dog paintings by George Rodrigue.

I got a call a few weeks ago from a lady from Nails mag letting me know that I was a runner up and I would be in the print magazine.  Ahhhh!  I'm sure she thought I was a total lunatic because I was SO excited lol.  Actually, excited is an understatement.  I may not have actually won the contest but
just the fact that my name and my nails are in an actual magazine is the most awesome thing ever to me.

They sent me a framed cover of the magazine with my excerpt and an engraved plaque with my name and everything on it.  It's pretty awesome!

This was the entry I sent in, it's "My Baby Made a Clown of Me (Big Top Dog)" by George Rodrigue.

The winners were announced in the August 2013 edition. Could this cover be any more bad ass?  It's so cool!

Here's the page I'm on!  It's so cool to see my name in there, it's just awesome!

This is by far the coolest thing that's happened to me so far.  What a way to start my career!  This just makes it so much more exciting for me.  I LOVE THIS JOB!!!!!!

XOXO

NOTD: OPI Ecuadorable Coral

Hey y'all! It's been a while since I did any swatch posts so I thought I'd share my nails of the day (NOTD).  This was my first time wearing this pretty.  My hubby got me this in a lot he won at an auction a while back.

This is OPI Ecuadorable Coral.   It was released in the Spring of 2002 in the South American Collection.

I love this a lot more than I thought I would.  I'm not a huge orange fan but this is gorgeous on.  It's a deep coral color with orange shimmer.  It's really pretty and goes on perfectly in 2 coats.

More 4th of July Nails

Hey y'all!  My daughter says that every holiday should have an Eve so, Happy 4th of July Eve.  ;)  I have some more 4th of July nails to share.

I wanted to wear these tomorrow but I've been wearing them a few days and I have a few chipping already so I'm going to have to do something new.  Here's a few idea I have rolling around that I've done recently just playing around.

I love 4th of July myself.  It's always a good time with family and friends and summer fun!  Hope you have a great day!  XOXO

Patriotic & Denim Nail Art

Hey y'all!  With the 4th of July being this week I thought I'd do a little something to get in the mood for the impending festivities.  I love 4th of July, it's always a fun time.

I actually did this design on a nail tip first.  It turned out better on the longer nail that it did on my little nubs.  You can just see the denim design better and the stars aren't so crowded together.

This was my first time doing denim nails too.  I've always wanted to do but just never got around to it.  I didn't do the stars on my right hand but I did do the denim.  Here's a photo of just the denim alone.  I love how it turned out.

I did the denim by painting the whole nail the dark blue and then using my fan brush I dipped it in a light blue and just swiped the brush lightly across the nail to give it the textured look of denim.  Super easy!

Well, thanks for stopping by today, have a great Monday! XOXO
