Everybody loves a flashy Hawaiian shirt....right?

Press Sample

Aloha!  Today I have some more nail art to share from the OPI Hawaii Collection.  This collection is so fabulous!

No trip to Hawaii would be complete without a fancy Hawaiian print shirt so of course I had to do nails!

The gradient was done using Aloha from OPI and Is Mai Tai crooked?  These two are like two peas in a pod and blended beautifully.  The Flower design was freehanded with acrylic craft paints.

Are these fun or what? I love them!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great week!  XOXO Amber

Aloha!

Press Sample

Aloha!  I received the OPI Hawaiian Collection to review and just HAD to do something Lilo & Stitch.  I just love that movie, it's so cute.

For these I used "Aloha from Hawaii" and "That's Hula-rious".  Both are great creams! The art is done with acrylic craft paints.  I had a hard time with Lilo, for some reason she just wasn't happening for me so I used her dress as inspiration instead.

Even though Lilo didn't work out for me I think Stitch came out pretty awesome.  He's such a cutie, I mean who doesn't love a cute little blue alien?  lol

Life is too short for boring nails!

Hey y'all!  A few weeks ago I was playing with a new shape on my nails and did an acrylic full set on myself.  I love ballerina shape, also called coffin shape.  I prefer the term ballerina myself, coffin just sounds morbid and not attractive lol.

I loved this shape on me too.  I made them a little longer than I can really work with but they made for an awesome set so I just had to share them.

I had a hard time taking this design off because I thought it was freaking awesome!  I had to take them down before I went back to work though.  I just couldn't do nails on other people with epic nails like this, I'm not that talented. lol.  I seriously love the ballerina shape though, it's so edgy and cool.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to be awesome and while you're out and about give a stranger a compliment, it's good for the soul!  XOXO  Amber

Cinderelly Cinderelly, Night and Day it's Cinderelly

Hey y'all!  Today I wanted to share my entry for the Gelish & Morgan Taylor nail art contest "Mani at Midnight".   They are doing two categories, 3d and flat nail art.  I chose to do the 3d category.  This is my first true 3d/fantasty nail art like this and I think it turned out pretty dang awesome.

Obviously, this is not for practical wear, it's for artistic and show purposes only.

All of the 3d pieces were sculpted with clear and white nail acrylic and hand painted with acrylic paints, gel polish and regular polishes.

The shoe and carriage are my favorite pieces.

I had a lot of fun with this project.  Wish me luck! I think I have the fantasy competition bug! If you're interested in entering yourself, you have until March 27th, you check out the details HERE.  Make sure to read the terms and conditions.

I have another 3d fantasy nail in the works now.  I can't wait to see how it turns out.  Thanks for stopping by

May your troubles be less and your blessings be more

Top 'O the mornin' to ya!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Are you wearing green or do you need a pinch?  Don't worry I won't pinch you, I wouldn't want to mess up my nails ;)

Just sharing my green nails today!  No shamrocks or rainbows with pots of gold for me, just good old green and gold.  I love this tie dye though.  I followed a really easy tutorial on Instagram by @Nailstorming

Thanks for stopping by today!  XOXO

Throwback Thursday~Come on Barbie Let's Go Party

Hey y'all!  Today I thought I'd do a little 'throwback' fun!  If you followed me from the beginning (THANK YOU!!!!) you may remember THIS post.  Apparently I thought it was awesome and did a great job lol.  Looking back I could pick it to pieces.  Obviously my photography has made a considerable improvement and my lines and detail are better too. So I thought it would be fun to do a little reboot and make some improvements on this one. And I mean, who doesn't love a good Barbie mani?

Now this mani I seriously love.  (Although, I'm sure if I look back at this one in another 4 years I'll have a lot to say about this one too lol)  I can't believe this year I'll have been writing this blog for 4 YEARS!!!!  Crazy!

Here's a little peek at the before.
(You can view the original post HERE)

So yeah, definite improvements, right?

I am thinking about doing these throwback posts regularly.   Do you have anything I've done in the past that you would like to see 'new and improved'?  Would love your feedback.

Thanks for stopping by today!  XOXO  Have a great day!

OPI Fifty Shades of Grey Collection and Nail Art

Sent for review

Hey y'all.  I am so ashamed at how long it's been since I last blogged.  I just got a new laptop so I will be back a lot more now.  Life has been good and work has been busy so I can't complain much.  :)  Today, I have the new OPI Fifty Shades of Grey collection to share.  I will be honest, I really did not have high hopes for this collection but they are pretty awesome.  Seeing them in photos does not do them justice.

Did you see the movie?  What did you think?  I haven't seen it yet.  I did read the books but I'll probably wait for it to come on PPV before I see it.

Here's a quick and simple striped manicure I did using "Cement the Deal" and "My Silk Tie" along with black acrylic paint.

Did I mention simple?  If you have a striper brush and a steady hand, you can do this in a heart beat.  Love this color combo so much.  I'm actually wearing this design on my toes too.

My Silk Tie is probably my favorite from this collection.  It's such an awesome metallic silver, I can't get enough.

Thanks for stopping by today!  XOXO
