Sprinkle Nails

I've seen a few posts here lately where people used real sugar sprinkles and nonpareils so I thought "What the heck, lets try it".  Check out these two posts using real sprinkles, Sprinkle Nails by XOXO Alexis Leigh and Candy Warrior by Chalkboard Nails

While these aren't the most practical nails, it is pretty cute I think.  I did both mine and my daughters.  I only had some Christmas nonpareils and some Easter sprinkles so I went with the Easter pink and purple for us.

My daughter's base coat was Sinful Colors 24/7 and mine was China Glaze Gothic Lolita

Neither of us wore them very long.  She wanted hers taken off as soon as I finished taking pictures.  She was just letting me use her as a guinea pig lol  Like I said, they're very impractical but I think they would be cute for a party or halloween or something like that.

What I did was painted the nails with one coat and then pressed them one by one in my little cupcake wrapper with the sprinkles.  After I got it covered I pressed them slightly with my finger to kind of imbed them in the polish better.  I put a coat of Julep fast dry top coat on top.   The top coat sinks in the crevices and makes them nice and shiny.

So, can you see yourself wearing real sprinkles on your nails?

    1. I only wore them for about an hour lol They were very rough, I couldn't stand that. I did experiment a little by washing my hands a few times and I didn't have any problems with them. However I feel pretty sure they wouldn't last more than a day.

  2. Probably not a look I would do but I love seeing pictures of them!

  3. Definitely a *SWEET* look and a lot of fun. Great job!

  4. haha this is fabulous! I love it!

  5. I had sprinkles all over my bed sheets when I did this look. Lol My husband said I should have saran wrapped my hands before going to bed. Hee hee

  6. I definitely love that you and your daughter did this. It's a bonding moment! And the color choices of the sprinkles are perfect!

  7. looks great but i never like the feeling of that on the nail
