Glitter nails

Hey y'all!  I'm sorry I've been slacking the last few days.  I try to post something every day but sometimes it's just impossible to do.  I haven't even painted my nails since Friday, it makes me sad.  I have some new polishes to swatch, so hopefully I can do that today.

Today I am going to share something I did last week.  I've seen a few posts lately with Rock Star Nails and I've been kind of obsessed with them.  No, I didn't do Rock Star Nails, I'm not that cool.  But I did try using loose glitter for the first time.   I got this green powder glitter from Julep when I got my first (and last) box a while back and this was the first time I'd been inspired to use it.

You can't tell too much, it as REALLY sparkly.  I used Revlon Jaded as my base and when it was still wet I pressed my finger into the little glitter jar and Voila!

I put a couple of coats of clear coat on it and honestly I didn't like it as much as I did without it.  I wasn't shiny but it was SO sparkly!!!!

I really want to get some more glitters now, I'm going to have to make a trip to Michaels soon!  Have you ever used loose glitter like this?  What did you think?

  1. never tried it but I do like the way it looks:)

  2. i liked it better without the top coat. with it it makes it look so plain. maybe i'll give loose glitters a try.

  3. i tried this once before with gold glitter but it didn't work out very well because my clear nail varnish just pulled all of the glitter off and i haven't tried it again since. this colour looks lovely :)

  4. I bought a package of 20 different colrs from Michaels. I love them.

  5. I'm afraid to try this because I'm afraid it would be too messy :/ But I do LOOOOOOVE my large loose glitter!

  6. This looks so cool! It reminds me of sour gummy candy. Nom nom.

  7. OMG, no lie I was thinking of trying this when I was on vacation with like a hot pink glitter!

Thanks for stopping by today, I would love to hear any comments or questions you may have! :)
