I have really been loving the new Spun Sugar Nail trend. It's really pretty and surprisingly easy. I used THIS TUTORIAL from XOXO Alexis Leigh. It did take me a little time to get the polish just right for it to get stringy but once I did it went pretty smoothly....and messy too lol. It's not the neatest nail art to do...especially if you use the type polishes I did. I used the foil type polishes and they have super tiny pieces of glitter and well, clean up is just a mess. That stuff is hard as hell to get off your fingers.
I used Orly Sweet Peacock (my favorite polish in the whole wide world) and an un named LA Colors Silver foil.
I will definitely be trying this again with creme's. I love this effect. What do you think of the new sugar spun trend?

This looks awesome! I need to try that!
ReplyDeletelooks so cool done with foils!
ReplyDeleteI bet clean was a real pain in the butt but the end result is gorgeous!! Best I've seen so far! :)
ReplyDeleteit looks amazing, but the thought of all that cleanup makes me cringe mightily. i barely have enough patience for regular manicure cleanup; i'd probably get two fingers into a sugar spun mani before i flipped my table over yelling "I'M OUT."
ReplyDeleteyours turned out beautifully, though! great work.
Love this!
ReplyDeletelooks fab in metallics xx
ReplyDeleteI have never seen this with metallics before but it looks great!
