Hello! I got a request on facebook for a Basket Weave Nail tutorial after my NoH8 Post. I love this design so I was glad to do a tutorial so others can do it too. It's really not as difficult as it may look. Most nail art isn't as hard as it looks actually. I've heard a lot of people say that certain designs look intimidating but most of the designs out there just take a little patience and practice. If you can use a pencil you can use a paint brush, I promise. Get a cheap set of nail art brushes and a whole new world of nail art can open up to you. I recently bought a set of 15 on ebay for $3.99 with free shipping. That was the best $3.99 I've ever spent. I'll be doing a post about them in a few days.
Okay, I digress....on to the nails and tutorial :)
These are the two brushes I used for this design. I really like that angled brush, it's so easy to work with. I plan on doing a whole post about this brush set soon. They're the bomb.com.
I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and found it easy and useful. If you try it, I'd love to see your finished nails. Feel free to post them on my Facebook page. Have a great day everyone! XO

Polishes Used:
Wet N Wild Black Creme
Essie No Place Like Chrome
There's really not much to it. If you can paint some straight lines, you're golden. I started with the Black Creme base then took my flat firm brush and made three vertical stripes, then made the horizontal stripes. After that I took a thin, pointed, stiff brush and made the weave lines over the silver. If you don't get your lines perfectly straight, you can always go back over a little with the other color and straighten them up, nobody will know the difference. I promise my lines don't always start out so nice, I always have to go over them some and do a little cleaning up up the edges.
